This year is a blur. My investment in 2o24 feels less comprehensive. I wasn’t as diligent. But, there was a reason. Apple released their 100 Best Albums of all time. I was intrigued. Loved it. So, for the better part of the year I have been working on mine. I will post that list in some ongoing form in 2025. In the meantime here are some albums that I enjoyed in 2024  that I did not enter into my top fifteen.

Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft –

Norman Brown – It Hits Different

Novo Amor – Collapse List

Talib Kweli & J. Rawls – The Confidence of Knowing

Hus Kingpin & 9th Wonder – The Supergoat

The Last Dinner Party – Prelude to Ecstasy

Lupe Fiasco – Last Samurai

Vince Staples – Dark Times

Halsey – The Great Impersonator

Billie is the consistent one. Norman is the nostalgic one for me. Novo Amor is that Bon Iver? Talib made an album with the nicest guy in hip hop. Hus and 9th is slick. The Last Dinner Party will be quickly forgotten or legacy album, I can’t tell which. Lupe and Vince rarely miss. Halsey deserves more respect.
